Strategic Translational Research and Platforms (STRaP) Committee

The role of the Strategic Translational Research and Platforms (STRaP) Committee is to identify strategic opportunities to develop translational research through shared strategic direction and collaboration across MACH and industry partners.

The committee is underpinned by Translational Platforms to develop Tomorrow’s Healthcare as articulated in the MACH Strategy 2020 to 2025 which include:

  • Clinical Research Support Hub
  • Data-Driven Healthcare Platform
  • Clinical Research Imaging Platform
  • Medical Devices and Implantables Platform
  • Melbourne Therapeutics Development Leadership Group
  • Precision Medicine Platform
  • Human Immunology, Immunotherapy and Vaccines Platform
  • Researcher Clinical Accreditation Platform

  • ​Identifying strategic opportunities to develop translational research across MACH
  • Overseeing the designation, development and operation of MACH Translational Platforms
  • Providing advice and strategic direction (as required) to the MACH Board
  • Co-ordinating advocacy for and in response to major funding opportunities across MACH and precinct partners
  • Identifying potential partners for industry engagement
